West London Therapy, support, psychotherapy and counselling for women in London.

About the therapist.

Here is a little more about me, Justine O’Brien, the therapist who set up West London Women's Therapy.

West London Women's Therapy Counsellor, Justine O'Brien.

Justine O'Brien

My training is in Person-centred counselling. My experience includes providing therapy at London-based organizations MCPS and Women’s Trust, an all women-run organization that is committed to supporting women in London who have experienced domestic violence.
I am passionately committed to working specifically with women. My counselling experience has given me valuable insights into the issues that women face, and empathy with women from a wide variety of backgrounds.

I believe that, when women are offered empathy and understanding, they have the opportunity to increase their self-esteem and self-confidence, which helps them gain more control and clarity in their lives.

I am currently in my third and final year of an honours degree in Person-Centred Counselling at the Metanoia Institute in London. I have also attended specialised courses including working with suicidal and depressed clients, and counselling for women who experience domestic violence.

I am a member of the following associations:

I abide by the Code of Ethics and Practice issued by the BACP and I am professionally supervised by a qualified supervisor as part of my commitment to ethical practice.

Amongst the many difficulties that women face in their lives, I can also offer therapy for women in the more specific areas of domestic violence and to women in sexual minority groups (lesbian and bisexual women and women who work in the sex industry).
